1. What Home Wisely Does

Home Wisely helps homeowners request information about home improvement services and may introduce homeowners to one local contractor or home service provider based on the information submitted.

Home Wisely is an introduction platform. Home Wisely does not perform construction, roofing, remodeling, repair, inspection, design, installation, or other home improvement work.

2. One Contractor Introduction by Default

Unless you specifically choose or authorize otherwise, Home Wisely’s standard process is to share your request with one contractor or service provider in your area for the purpose of helping you receive follow-up regarding your project.

If you choose an option to be contacted by multiple contractors, request multiple introductions, or otherwise authorize additional contact, Home Wisely may share your information with more than one contractor or service provider.

3. Contractors Are Independent Businesses

Any contractor, company, or service provider introduced through Home Wisely is an independent business. Contractors are not employees, agents, representatives, partners, franchisees, or subcontractors of Home Wisely.

Home Wisely does not control, supervise, direct, manage, or oversee any contractor’s work, pricing, scheduling, communications, estimates, contracts, permits, materials, workmanship, jobsite conduct, safety practices, warranties, or project completion.

4. Authorization to Be Contacted

By submitting your information through Home Wisely, you authorize Home Wisely and the matched contractor or service provider to contact you by phone, text message, email, or other communication method regarding your request.

You understand that the contractor may contact you directly using the information you submit. Message and data rates may apply. You confirm that the contact information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use it.

5. Information Shared With Contractors

To provide the requested introduction, Home Wisely may share information you submit with the matched contractor or service provider. This may include your name, phone number, email address, project location, project type, project details, photos if submitted, and other information related to your request.

Once your information is provided to an independent contractor or service provider, that contractor’s use of your information may be governed by its own privacy practices, policies, and legal obligations. Home Wisely is not responsible for how an independent contractor uses, stores, protects, or follows up with information after it has been shared for the purpose of your request.

6. No Guarantee of Contractor Work

Home Wisely does not guarantee, warranty, or insure any contractor’s work.

Home Wisely is not responsible for property damage, personal injury, financial loss, delays, defects, incomplete work, poor workmanship, code violations, permit issues, warranty disputes, payment disputes, contract disputes, or any other issue arising from work performed or not performed by a contractor.

Any agreement for work is solely between you and the contractor you choose to hire.

7. Homeowner Responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether to contact, meet with, hire, or continue working with any contractor introduced through Home Wisely.

Before hiring any contractor, you should independently review and verify any information important to your decision, including but not limited to:

• Licensing
• Insurance
• References
• Reviews
• Permits
• Pricing
• Written estimates
• Contract terms
• Warranty terms
• Project timeline
• Scope of work

You should not rely solely on Home Wisely when deciding whether to hire a contractor.

8. No Professional Advice

Information provided through Home Wisely is for general informational purposes only. Home Wisely does not provide legal, financial, engineering, architectural, insurance, inspection, or construction advice.

9. No Endorsement or Warranty

Home Wisely may use internal standards, screening processes, homeowner feedback, or performance information to decide which contractors may receive introductions. However, any introduction does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, certification, or endorsement of a contractor’s work.

10. Homeowner Reports and Contractor Accountability

Home Wisely may allow homeowners to report concerns about a contractor’s responsiveness, professionalism, workmanship, or conduct. Home Wisely may use this information to evaluate whether a contractor remains eligible to receive future introductions.

Home Wisely’s review of a complaint does not make Home Wisely responsible for resolving disputes, paying damages, refunding payments made to contractors, supervising repairs, enforcing contractor agreements, or acting as a mediator, arbitrator, insurer, or guarantor.

11. No Guarantee of Availability

Home Wisely does not guarantee that a contractor will be available, contact you within a specific time, provide an estimate, accept your project, or complete your project.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Wisely shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of Home Wisely, your communications with a contractor, the sharing of your information with a contractor for your request, or any work performed or not performed by a contractor.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Wisely’s total liability for any claim related to your use of the service shall not exceed $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Home Wisely, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your hiring of a contractor, your project, your property, your submitted information, or your dispute with any contractor.

14. Third-Party Websites and Services

Home Wisely may link to or communicate through third-party websites, tools, software, calendars, forms, phone systems, analytics tools, advertising platforms, or contractors. Home Wisely is not responsible for third-party services, websites, policies, actions, or failures.

15. Privacy Policy

Your use of Home Wisely is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information.

16. Changes to These Terms

Home Wisely may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the current version. Your continued use of the service after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
